StepsToImprovement.org has been created by an independent partnership of organisations, knowledgeable in lean principles, to support and enhance the efforts of those implementing programmes based on Lean principles within the NHS.

Although supporting and applauding the effforts of the NHS Institute in creating Productive Ward (TM), this site is not part of the NHS Institute Productive Ward programme. It aims to support Trusts after they have read the Productive Ward (TM) modules and undertaken the NHS Institute training and support.

Membership of Steps to Improvement is restricted solely to NHS staff to ensure a safe, secure environment in which to discuss improvements in patient safety, application of lean principles and the challenges of the NHS.
